Yesterday, Alex Palou won the 109th running of the Indy 500 and became the 1st Spaniard to win “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.

Palou has five wins in the six races this season, a record not achieved since A.J. Foyt, who won the first seven races of the season, including the Indy 500, in 1964.

When he won the race, he stopped his car just beyond the Yard of Bricks, climbed out of his car, and raised his arms in triumph. He then ran and celebrated with his father Ramon and his team.

Palou is one of my favorite stock car racers of all time, and people need to watch out for this guy during the IndyCar season.

Next Race:

Sunday, June 1st

Grand Prix of Detroit 12:30 pm on FOX
