Arizona gets a big road win against Baylor and snaps their two-game skid

Antonio DiCesare

# 19 Arizona Men’s Basketball went into their game in Waco, TX, on Monday against Baylor on a two-game losing streak coming off losses to Houston and Kansas State. They needed a big win, beating Baylor 74-67.

Tobe Awaka scored 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Caleb Love and Henri Veesaar each had 13 points.

VJ Edgecombe scored 24 points for Baylor. Norchad Omier had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Jayden Nunn added 10 points.

Arizona is a team that people need to pay attention to, especially down the stretch heading into March. Caleb Love, KJ Lewis, and Jaden Bradley have been among the best courts I have seen in College Basketball for quite some time. Henri Veesaar and Toba Awaka are great big men and can defend as well as any duo in college basketball.

They still have a long way to go if they want to win a title this season.

Next Game for Arizona:

Saturday, February 22nd

BYU @ # 19 Arizona 10:00 pm on ESPN
