The Panthers and Senators agreed to a deal on Sunday night, with Florida sending four draft picks to Ottawa for Brady Tkachuk.
The picks were for the number nine pick in this year's draft, Tampa Bay's first-round pick this year, the Panthers' 2027 second-round pick, and a top-10 protected first-round pick in 2029.
Brady Tkachuk spent his entire eight seasons in the NHL with Ottawa, and he now gets to play with his brother, Matthew, for whom he played on the US Men's Olympic hockey team that won the gold medal in February, and also on the Four Nations Face-off team that won silver in 2025.
Brady had two seasons left on his current deal, a seven-year, $57.56 million contract he signed in October of 2021.
The Florida Panthers are going to be a dangerous team next season, and other teams better watch out.
