Bruins even the series against Buffalo at one game apiece

In Game 2, the Bruins did respond, but they needed to send a message.
In the opening period, neither team was able to break through the ice.
Viktor Arvidsson got things rolling with his 1st of the playoffs, giving Boston a 1-0 lead. Then Morgan Geekie scored a goal like you wouldn't have seen coming, he flipped a backhand from center ice, and it got a lucky bounce that went past the goalie and into the net. I would call that goal lucky for sure, scoring his 2nd playoff goal, putting Boston ahead 2-0. The Bruins extended their lead to 3-0 on the power-play goal from Pavel Zacha (3rd), and at that particular point, they were in complete control.
Arvidsson wasted no time, scoring his second of the game, just sixteen seconds into the 3rd period. After Boston pushed the lead to four, Buffalo head coach Lindy Ruff had pretty much seen all he wanted to see. He made a goalie change and was clearly frustrated with the way his team was playing. The Sabres managed to get on the board with goals from Bowen Byram (1st) and Peyton Krebs (1st) but the game was out of their reach.
Jeremy Swayman was the difference maker all game long, remaining calm, cool, and collected while stopping 32 shots.
In my view, this was a bounce-back performance the Bruins needed after they blew a two-goal lead in Game 1.
