Bruins Take Game 1 5-1 and lead the series 1-0 against the Panthers


On Monday night, The Bruins went into Sunrise, Florida, and beat the Panthers 5-1 in a dominant performance by Boston.

 

Jeremy Swayman was brilliant in the net, making 38 saves and keeping Boston in the game.

 

Morgan Geekie started the scoring for Boston, tying the game at 1-1 in the second on his (3rd) goal of the playoffs. Then, the rookie Mason Lohrei gave the Bruins the lead on his (1st) of the playoffs, shooting the puck high underneath the crossbar.

 

The new dad, Brandon Carlo, gave the Bruins a 3-1 lead on his (2nd) of the playoffs. In the 3rd, Justin Brazeau made the score 4-1 on his (1st) of the playoffs on a breakaway.

 

Finally, Jake Debrusk finished it with an empty netter, his (4th) of the playoffs, to put the game on ice.  

 

The Bruins will win game two if they

-        Score early

-        Stopping Florida’s Stars players  

-        Take advantage of turnovers

-        Solid defense
