The Boston Bruins went into their game against the Colorado Avalanche and dominated, winning 5-3 on Wednesday night.

Cole Koepke opened up the scoring, netting his (2nd) goal of the season and giving the Bruins a 1-0. After Colorado tied the game at 1-1 on a power-play goal by Ross Colton (2nd), Charlie Coyle got his (1st) on the power-play off a fantastic pass from Mason Lohrei to give Boston a 2-1 lead.

In the 2nd, the Bruins scored two goals in 13 seconds by David Pastrnak (4th) on the power-play and Hampus Lindholm his (1st), which gave the Bruins a 4-1 lead. Cale Maker got his (1st) on the power-play to cut the lead to 4-2.

In the 3rd, Mikko Rantanen added his (4th) on the power-play, closing the gap at 4-3. Johnny Beecher scored an empty net goal his (2nd), which sealed the win for Boston, 5-3.

Bruins Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo stopped 22 shots in the game and played well.

Colorado's four losses are the longest skid to start a season for them since 1998-99. In those years, this squad got back on track behind a lineup that featured Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, and Patrick Roy. They made it to the Western Conference Finals before losing to the Dallas Stars.
