The Celtics beat the Mavs 107-89 in Game 1 and take a 1-0 series lead. Jaylen Brown led the way with 22 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
The other starters for the Celtics contributed: Jayson Tatum, 16 points; Derrick White, 15 points; Jrue Holiday, 12 points and Horford, with 10 points.
It marked the return of Kristaps Porzingis, who missed ten games due to a calf strain. It was his first game since April 29th during the first round against Miami. He had 20 points, along with six rebounds and three blocks.
The Mavs were no match for the Celtics defense all game long.
They need to keep playing Celtics basketball if we are going to win the NBA Finals.
