Columbus Crew beat LAFC and won their third MLS CUP

On Saturday Afternoon, The Columbus Crew beat LAFC 2-1 to win their franchise’s third MLS Cup.

It was a fantastic game, and I thought that Columbus had dominated it from start to finish. They played like a team and not just eleven individuals.

Columbus got off to a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick goal by Cucho Hernandez in the 33rd minute. Then, in the 37th minute, Yaw Yeboah was running down the left side, received a good pass, and tapped it just past the keeper to give Columbus a 2-0 lead.

LAFC got a goal back in the 74th minute by Denis Bouanga and was looking to tie the game.

But it was too late as the final whistle blew, and Columbus won the MLS Cup.

Congrats to the Columbus Crew on winning the MLS Cup for the third time in Franchise history
