The Oilers fell behind 3-0 in the first period to the Panthers on a pair of goals by Matthew Tkachuk and another goal just 41.7 seconds later by Anton Lindell. After giving up three goals on 17 shots, Stuart Skinner was pulled and replaced by Calvin Pickard.

In the 2nd, Edmonton started their comeback with three goals of their own. Goals scored by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (6th) Power-play, Darnell Nurse (3rd), and Vasily Podkolzin (2nd).

Edmonton took the lead in the 3rd on a goal by Jake Walman (2nd) to make the score 4-3. They thought the game was in the bag, or so that’s what it seemed like. Florida found a way to tie the game up with 19.5 left on a goal by Sam Reinhart (6th).

But in overtime, Leon Draisaitl once again scored the game-winning goal (11th) at 11:18 in the period.

It was a game to remember for me because I had not seen a comeback and game like this since I saw the Bruins and Canucks in 2011, which went to seven games.
