Isaiah Evans hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 19.7 seconds left to give #4 Duke Blue Devils a 67-66 win over # 15 Florida in the ACC/SEC Challenge at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The sophomore was 0-for-7 from behind the arc when Florida's Boogie Fland hit a three-pointer with 34.6 seconds left, giving the Gators a 66-65 lead.
Cameron Boozer, the star freshman for Duke, was just outstanding and scored 29 points for the Blue Devils. Isaiah Evans had 13 points and a career-high five of Duke's 11 blocks.
Florida's Thomas Haugh was blowing it up in this game. He scored 24 points for the Gators.
It was a fantastic game last night, and it was competitive. I really like the way Duke is playing so far this season, and people better keep an eye on this team for sure.
Next Game for Both:
Florida will face No. 5 UConn next Tuesday at Madison Square Garden
Duke will be visiting No. 7 Michigan State on Saturday.
