On Thursday night, Gonzaga Men’s basketball won against San Francisco 88-77.
Graham Ike had 18 points and 13 rebounds. Ryan Nembhard scored 18 points while going 8 of 15 from the field. Michael Ajayi finished with 12 points.
Ryan Nembhard is one of the best point guards I have seen in college basketball. This guy can shoot lights out from three, is an excellent passer, and is fantastic on defense. People need to keep an eye on this guy, especially during the NCAA tournament in March.
Malik Thomas led the way for San Francisco with 25 points. Ryan Beasley had 16 points with two steals. Tyrone Riley IV added 11 points and six rebounds.
Gonzaga is projected as an 8 seed by ESPN’s Bracketologist Joe Lunardi. They should be a five-seed, but I can see why Lunardi has them where she projected. It’s because they don’t have any Quad-1 wins (Wins against outstanding teams like Kentucky, for example) on their resume. I think that should be a five-seed, in my opinion.
We will have to see if they can get a big win on their resume before tournament time in March.
