The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 and won their title since 1973.

Jalen Brunson had 45 points and 2 steals in Game 5 and was the 2026 NBA Finals MVP.

Josh Hart had 13 points, Mikal Bridges had 14 points, and OG Anunoby had 11 points. Karl Anthony Towns scored 2 points before fouling out of the game, but he had done his job throughout the playoffs for the Knicks.

Victor Wembanyama had 19 points, Dylan Harper had 25 points, and Stephon Castle had 6 points for the Spurs, but they couldn’t get it done.

Head Coach Mike Brown did it. He won and brought a title to NYC.

What a final this was, especially for me. I saw two teams go toe-to-toe in this series, and it was a great battle between the Knicks and Spurs. It was the best Finals that I have seen since I watched the 2016 Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Congrats to the NY Knicks for winning their first title in 53 Years.

If I were Stephen A. Smith, I would be saying, I am so proud and happy to be an NY Knicks fan. They dominated right from the jump and were able to close the door on this series.
