Mexico made a statement, and their fans at Azteca Stadium were impressed as they beat South Africa 2-0.
In the 9th minute, Julian Quinones scored to put Mexico ahead 1-0. Raúl Jiménez got his first goal in the 67th minute, which put his team up 2-0.
There were three red cards in the game, which I have never seen before.
South Africa had no answer and couldn't get anything going on offense.
Mexico looked strong in their first match, but it's a long tournament, and many more games are ahead.
