The No. 7 Duke Men’s Basketball opened up their 2024-25 season on Monday night against the Maine Black Bears and won 96-62.
Duke’s Freshman star Cooper Flagg, the nation’s top-ranked recruit, had 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in his college basketball debut. His teammate Kon Knueppel powered the offense for Duke with 22 points and three 3-pointers.
Quion Burns scored 15 points for the Maine Black Bears after halftime as Duke pulled away.
Duke had six players in double figures, including returnees Caleb Foster (Sophomore) with 11 points and Junior Tyrese Proctor with 10 points.
Duke is one of my favorites in the ACC to win the national championship this season.
