McLaren’s Oscar Piastri took home the checkered flag at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday.

For the first time this season, a penalty played a key role in deciding a race win.

Max Verstappen started on the pole and went off the track while battling Piastri for the lead at the very first corner. He stayed in front but received a five-second penalty.

It was the second win in a row for Piastri, who won last week in Bahrain. He has three wins in five races this year. Piastri leads the standings by 10 points over his teammate Lando Norris.
