Yesterday, the Portland SeaDogs pulled off a come-from-behind win 7-5 in 10 innings against the Hartford Yard Goats.
With the win, the Sea Dogs remain first in the Eastern League's northeast division and extend their lead over the Yard Goats by 2.5 games.
Bryan Bello was pitching in the rehab assignment with the Sea Dogs, where he pitched 4.1 innings of work, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out seven.
Liam Hendriks pitched a scoreless six innings and is also on a rehab assignment for the Red Sox.
In the 10th inning, Jhostynxon Garcia hammered an RBI single, scoring Liendo and giving Portland a 5-4 lead. Then, Corey Rosier singled, scoring Romero and Garcia, making it 7-4 Sea Dogs.
I can not wait to see how the Portland Sea Dogs do this minor league season. It's nice to see Bello and Hendriks back on the mound. Hopefully, we will see them pitching for the Red Sox soon.
