Red Sox, Alex Bregman agree to three-year, $120 million deal

Antonio DiCesare

Red Sox signed Third Baseman Alex Bregman to a three-year, $120 million contract. Bregman ended a 10-year stint with the Houston Astros, where he blossomed into a superstar.

Bregman is a two-time all-star and two-time World Series champion with the Astros. He will probably be shifting from third base to second for the Red Sox, who already have Rafael Devers at third.

Bregman is among the best third basemen in the league and among my top ten players.

I think he will make an outstanding contribution to our offense. He will play with guys like Rafael Devers, Jarren Duran, Conor Wong, Trevor Story, and many others. The Red Sox struggled to score runs, especially in the late innings of a game.

The Red Sox, hopefully, can challenge the Yankees and Orioles in the American League East division.
