Red Sox take two out of three against the Tampa Bay Rays

Yesterday, the Red Sox beat the Rays 1-0 and got a shutout thanks to starter Sean Newcomb and the Bullpen.

David Hamilton's home run in the 3rd inning (1st) was the game's only run. Starter Sean Newcomb pitched 4 2/3 innings, four hits, two walks, and four strikeouts against the Rays.

The Bullpen was outstanding for the Red Sox. Relievers Greg Weissert, Garrett Whitlock, and Justin Slaten combined to retire 13 of the last 14 Rays batters without allowing any walks and nine strikeouts.

I want to see more offense from the Red Sox. Jaren Duran has to step up his game and be the leadoff hitter who can make big plays.
