Sam Darnold signs with the Seahawks on a three-year deal

Antonio DiCesare

Former Viking quarterback Sam Darnold signs with the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $100.5 million contract, with $55 million guaranteed.

In my opinion, Darnold is coming off his best season since I first saw him play at USC. He got 14 victories in purple and had career highs with 4,319 passing yards, 35 TDS, and a 66.2 completion percentage.

I was shocked when I heard about Darnold signing with the Seahawks after they traded Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders. In my opinion, Darnold should have stayed with the Vikings, but I think he will do a good job in Seattle.

From watching him play college football at USC to now in the NFL, I see Darnold as a leader who wants to play at a high level and prove that he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

For you NFL fans out there, keep an eye on Darnold next season because he might surprise you with his skills and determination.
