Spain beats England in Euro Final and win their 4th Euro championship

On Sunday, Spain and England battled for a European Championship in Germany, and Spain beat England 2-1.

The first half had both teams' fantastic saves and good defense, but was scoreless.

In the second half, Spain got on the board first. Two minutes into the half, Nico Williams scored the goal in the 47th minute on a fantastic pass on the counterattack to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Then, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer received a pass from Jude Bellingham and shot the ball right past the goalkeeper to tie the game in the 73rd minute.

After England tied it at 1-1, Spain's Mikel Oyarzabal got a pass and slid, tipping the ball into the net to give Spain the lead at 2-1 in the 86th minute.

Spain won the game and is the 2024 European Champions.

It was their 4th European Championship (1964, 2008, 2012, 2024)

Congrats to Spain on winning Euro 2024.

England came up short again for the second time in the Euro. They had lost to Italy in penalty kicks in the 2020 Euro Final. Spain was the better team, and England couldn't make the big plays when they needed it most.
