Spain wins their first World Cup Title since 2010

Spain is once again back on top of the soccer world for the second time after beating Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup Final.

Ferran Torres scored the only goal of the game in the 106^th minute of extra time, and it was his first goal of the tournament.

Torres's goal came after Argentina's Enzo Fernandez had received a red card and was sent off following an unnecessary tackle on a Spain player.

Argentina couldn't get anything going on offense all game long. They did not have a single shot on goal.  

Spain had allowed only one goal in eight matches during its World Cup run, setting a record for the fewest goals allowed by a champion.

Lionel Messi, 39, is one of a kind, and people wonder whether this will be his last World Cup or if he will come back in four years.

Messi scored 8 goals in this tournament and proved he can still play at a high level.

This title, combined with Spain's Women's team winning the Women's World Cup in 2023, makes the European nation the first ever to hold both men's and women's titles.
