Buffalo opened the scoring on the power-play, with Rasmus Dahlin found the back of the net to make it 1-0. Elias Lindholm answered to tie the game at 1-1 with his 2nd goal of the series.

The 3rd period delivered nonstop action, with both teams generating chance after chance and peppering shots on net, but neither side could break the tie.

In overtime, 9:14 into the period, the Bruins finally got their moment. Hampus Lindholm makes a fantastic pass from the blue line, right to a streaking David Pastrnak, who put it into the back of the net for his 2nd goal of the series, and Boston won 2-1 and forced game six back at TD Garden.

Jeremy Swayman was solid all game long and stopped 25 shots.
