The Pacers never led in Game 1 against the Thunder but managed to take home the win thanks to the clutch shooting of Tyrese Haliburton.
Game 1 was something to remember for me because I got to see a good battle between Haliburton and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, with outstanding defense on both sides and clutch shooting in the 4th quarter.
The Thunder were in control of this game until the 4th quarter, where I got to see another fantastic come-from-behind win against the Indiana Pacers.
Haliburton had 14 points, including the game-winning mid-range shot at the buzzer. Pascal Siakam led the way for the Pacers with 19 points, and T.J. McConnell had 9 points. I think the Pacers need to play him more if they want to win this series.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 38 points to lead the Thunder and was just outstanding, as I have seen from him all season long.
I believe the Thunder will win this series if they don’t rush, rebound the ball on the defensive end, make key shots when needed, especially with 2:00 to go in the 4th quarter, and finally, get points off turnovers.
The Pacers can win this series if they don’t turn the ball over, communicate effectively, rebound the ball, and finally, give TJ McConnell more playing time.
