The Red Sox went into the nation’s capital and beat the Nationals on the Fourth of July, 11-2.
Trevor Story had himself a game, homering and driving in four runs as part of a four-hit performance. Jarren Duran had three RBIs.
Lucas Giolito allowed only four hits and three walks while striking out seven. The only run he gave up was on a sac fly by Luis Garcia in the sixth inning.
If Boston wants to make the postseason, it needs to start winning games now.
