UConn raised their 2024 championship banner and beat Sacred Heart 92-56 in the season opener


Dan Hurley and the UConn Huskies raised the 2024 championship banner into the Raptors and beat Sacred Heart 92-56 in their first game on Wednesday night.

 

UConn Junior Alex Karaban led the way for the Huskies with 20 points, seven assists, seven blocks, and six steals in the win over Sacred Heart.

 

Liam McNeeley scored 18 points and had ten rebounds for the Huskies. Solo Ball had 16, while Junior Tarris Reed Jr. finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds coming off the bench as the Huskies outrebounded Sacred Heart 47-25.

 

Amiri Stewart scored 13 points, and Bryce Johnson added 10 for Sacred Heart. Tanner Thomas, who scored 22 points in Sacred Heart’s season-opening loss to the Temple Owls, just had six against UConn.
