USA beats Guatemala and earns a spot in the Concacaf U-20 Championship Semifinals

The U.S. Men’s U-20 team does it yet again. They beat Guatemala 3-1 on Tuesday night and will play Costa Rica in the Semifinals.

With the win over Guatemala, they also have secured a spot in the 2027 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup.

Guatemala got on the board first in the 36^th minute when a shot from outside the box hit the crossbar, and Oscar de Leon put it in off the rebound to make the score 1-0.

The U.S tied the match up at 1-1 in the 45+5 when a corner kick was deflected, and Brandon Dayes was there to put it in the back of the net.

In the 68^th, the U.S. found their second gear; Dino Klapija put a powerful shot past the keeper to make the score 2-1. Finally, Josh Torquato sealed the game in the 75^th minute, which made the score 3-1.

It was an incredible game to watch from my point of view.
