USA dominates their rival Canada in a 5-0 shutout in their final preliminary round game

Caroline Harvey put the U.S. on the board in the 1st period, scoring her 2nd goal of the Olympics, making it 1-0. Later, Hannah Bilka added her 2nd goal of the Olympics on the power-play, thanks to an amazing pass from Murphy, making it 2-0 in favor of the U.S.

 

Kirsten Simms and Hannah Bilka got the next two goals for the U.S. in the 2nd period. Simms (1st) on the power-play and Bilka (3rd, 2nd of the game), making it 4-0.

 

Layla Edwards, the young defenseman from the University of Wisconsin, scored her 1st goal Olympic goal in the 3rd which made it 5-0.

 

The U.S. went unbeaten in the preliminary round and hopes to defend its gold medal.
