From my point of view, this was another game to remember. It came down to the wire with either side giving in until the final moments.

It was scoreless in the 1st period. But Canada got on the board early in the 2nd period on a short-handed goal by Kristin O’Neill (3rd).

Hilary Knight scored her (3rd) Olympic goal, deflecting a shot from Laylia Edwards and tying the game at 1-1 with 2:04 remaining.

Then, in overtime, Meghan Keller backhanded in the shot and went through for the game-winner, her (3rd), 4:07 into the period.

The U.S. won its third-ever gold (1998, 2018, 2026).

Congrats to the U.S Women’s Hockey team on winning the gold medal.
