Verstappen wins the Dutch Grand Prix for 9th win in a row

On Sunday, Max Verstappen won a rainy Dutch Grand Prix for his 9th straight win, equaling Sebastian Vettel’s Formula 1 record of nine consecutive victories.

He increased his huge championship lead to 138 points as he moved towards a third straight world title.

Verstappen moves closer to tying his own Formula 1 record of 15 wins that he set last year, and it would be his 46 overall. Verstappen, who will turn 26 next month, is already fifth all-time in wins. He trails only Alain Prost (51) and Sebastian Vettel (53) with nine races left.
