Will Power took home the win on Sunday at Portland International Raceway. Alex Palou finished third and won the NTT IndyCar championship.
With this title, Palou now has four IndyCar titles (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025). This makes it his third straight series title, joining Ted Horn (1946-48), Sebastien Bourdais (2004-07), and Dario Franchitti (2009-11) as the only other drivers to three-peat.
It also makes this the 17th series championship for Chip Ganassi Racing, which tied Team Penske for the most titles in IndyCar history.
Palou's four Astor Challenge Cup in the last five seasons ties him with Mario Andretti, Bourdais, and Franchitti for third on the all-time championship list, trailing only A.J. Foyt (seven) and Scott Dixon (six).
There are still two more races to go. Let's hope we can achieve an excellent finish to another memorable IndyCar season.
Congrats to Alex Palou on winning his fourth IndyCar Series Championship
