Wyndham Clark win the US Open in Los Angeles to win his first major championship

On Sunday, Wyndham Clark wins the 2023 US Open in LA and wins his first major championship, holding off Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler.

Clark at 29 yrs. Old finished the tournament at 10-under, one stroke ahead of McIlroy and five strokes ahead of Fowler.

Clark had turned pro in 2017; he had previously competed in six major championships and had finished no better than tied for 75th. He won his first PGA Tour event in May at the Wells Fargo Championship.

Clark earns $3.6 million with the win and some much-deserved name recognition. Clark, who grew up in Colorado, is the son of a former professional tennis player. His mother died of breast cancer in 2013 while he was attending Oklahoma State University.

When Clark was asked what his mom would say after he won. He said, ‘She called me a Winner’ when I was little, so she would just say, ‘I Love you, winner.’”
