Dillion Gabriel throws three touchdowns as No.8 Oregon beats UCLA 34-13 in their first Big Ten game

Updated: 5 days ago

Dillion Gabriel threw three touchdown passes and moved up the NCAA record books as the Oregon Ducks beat the UCLA Bruins 34-13 in their first game as a Big Ten opponent.

Gabriel completed 31 of 41, 280 yards, and three touchdown passes as he became the fourth Football Bowl Subdivision player to reach 16,000 yards passing for his career and moved into a three-way tie for third with 134 touchdown passes.

The sixth-year senior has 16,059 yards in 54 games for different schools. He played parts of three seasons at UCF before transferring to Oklahoma, where he played in 2022 and ’23. Gabriel decided to play his final year at Oregon because the Hawaii native wanted to play closer to home.

Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson had 11 receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Ducks Running back Jordan James had 20 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown.

The Ducks picked up their 12th win in their last 13 meetings against the UCLA Bruins.

Dillion Gabriel is one of my favorite college football quarterbacks. I see him in the Heisman Trophy conversation and competing in the college football playoffs.

Next Game of the Oregon Ducks:
