San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb threw his 2nd career shutout on Wednesday night against the Oakland A's. The Giant won 1-0.
Webb pitched the entire game, stuck out six, limiting the A's five singles and a walk.
He threw 73 of 106 pitches for strikes and 14 groundball outs.
Mike Yastrzemski and Marco Luciano hit consecutive one-out singles in the fifth to put two runners at the corners. Brett Wisely followed with a sacrifice fly to score the game's only run.
Logan Webb is one of my favorite pitchers in the league and one of my top 10 pitchers in baseball.
I like Logan Webb because he is a great athlete, plays hard, never gives up, stays calm, and leads by example.
