Tyler O'Neill homers in his Red Sox debut as Boston beats Seattle 6-4 on Opening Day

On Thursday night, Tyler O'Neill and the Boston Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 6-4 on Opening Day.

Red Sox's Brayan Bello pitched five solid innings and had two strikeouts. But he gave up a two-run home run to Mitch Haniger in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Rafael Devers got the Red Sox on the board with a two-run homer in the third inning, giving them a 2-0 lead.

But the day's big story was the newest Red Sox, Tyler O'Neill. O'Neill hit his first home run of the season in the top of the 8th inning to give his team a 6-4.

It was an excellent first win for Boston, but it was only one game; they still have a long way to go to see how this team does.
