USA Women’s Hockey dominate and blew out Switzerland 8-0


The United States women’s hockey was going into their third preliminary round game vs Switzerland red hot after coming off a 5-0 victory over the Russian Olympic community on Saturday.

In the first period, Hilary Knight opened up the scoring with a power play goal (2nd of the tournament) at 5:40 of the 1st to make it 1-0. Then Jesse Compher scored her 2nd of the tournament at 14:04 to make it 2-0. Knight scored her 2nd of the game (3rd of the tournament) to make it 3-0. Kelly pannek scored her 1st of the tourney to make it 4-0. Finally, Amanda Kessel, sister of Phil Kessel, who plays for the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL, Scored her 2nd goal of the tourney to it 5-0.

In the 2nd period the USA kept bring it the goals on. Kelly pannek scored her 2nd of the game to make it 6-0. Then Jesse Compher scored her 2nd of the game to make it 7-0.

Finally, in the 3rd period, Dani Cameranesi scored to it 8-0. It was a completely dominated game by the U.S and are going to face a real test against Canada on Monday night.
