Yesterday, the Walpole Girls Varsity soccer team went into their non-conference league game against old Bay State rivals Norwood and beat the Mustangs 6-1.
Walpole dominated right from the start and was able to hold Norwood to a limited number of shots on net. The defense was solid throughout the game, and the offense performed in a similar manner.
Bella Bingham and Maddy Walzer scored two goals each, and Sydney Dias and Aubrie Ma provided one goal apiece.
It was one of the best performances that I have seen since I started working at Walpole Media Corporation.
Walpole Defenders, including Ryan McDonnell, Molly White, Julie Borto, and others, have prevented the opposing team's offensive players from getting a good shot on goal. Goalkeeping has been excellent for Walpole and continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
This girls' team has outstanding teamwork, leadership, and style of play.
I hope to see more awesome performances from this team down the stretch.
