BC Eagles beat UMass Lowell in a back-and-forth battle at Kelly Rink


The Boston College Eagles beat the No. 13 ranked UMass Lowell Riverhawks 3-2 on Tuesday night at Kelly Rink. They have earned their second consecutive victory and extended their unbeaten streak to three games. Their record is now at 4-4-2 overall while moving above .500 in Hockey East at 4-3-1.


Cutter Gauthier and Connor Joyce scored goals in the 1st period for the Eagles. Gauthier had his sixth of the season and scored six minutes into the opening period to make it 1-0. Then, Joyce added his 1st of the season to make it 2-0 eagles.


The 2nd period was all Riverhawks as they added two goals of their own to tie the game at 2-2. Scoring the goals for the Riverhawks were Owen Cole and Zach Kaiser.


In the 3rd period BC finally broke the tie thanks to Oskar Jellvik who scored his first collegiate goal to give the eagles the 3-2 victory.
