Bergeron gets his 1,000th career point as the Bruins beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 on Monday


Patrice Bergeron got his 1,000th career point with an assist in the second period on Brad Marchand’s goal, and his team stormed onto the ice to congratulate him on this milestone.


Bergeron became the fourth Boston player to reach the 1,000th points joining Ray Bourque (1,506), Johnny Bucyk (1,339), and Phil Esposito (1,012). Bergeron is the 41st player to have 1,000 points with one franchise.


David Krejci got the scoring started for Boston in the first period netting his 6th of the season to tie the game at 1-1. Nick Foligno added a power play goal his 4th of the season to make 2-1. Charlie Coyle, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak each added goals to help increase their lead over the lightning.


Bruins beat the lightning 5-3 on Monday to extend their winning streak to seven straight games.
