Bergeron helps the Bruins beat the Panthers for their 17th home win


The Boston Bruins beat the Florida Panthers 7-3 on Monday night for their 17th home win in 19 tries.


The Bruins opened up the scoring with three in the first period. Conor Clifton scored his 3rd of the season with fantastic speed going right past the net and then putting past the goaltender for a 1-0 lead. Then, Brandon Carlo (1st) and Charlie Coyle (9th) added two more goals to make it 3-0.


David Pastrnak made it 4-0 Bs at the start of the second period on the power play scoring his 21st of the season. Then, the Panthers scored three goals in 5 minutes and 20 seconds to make a one-goal game. David Krejci made it 5-3 with his 10th of the season off a rebound opportunity after Lindholm's shot hit off both posts.


In the 3rd period, captain Patrice Bergeron added two goals (11, 12 (power play) to make the score 7-3. Goalie Linus Ullmark stopped 36 shots to earn his 10th consecutive win.
