Bills knock out the Pittsburgh Steelers and advance to the divisional round against Kansas City

On Monday, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and advance to the divisional round, where they will have a rematch against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night in Buffalo.

Josh Allen played one of the best games of his career I have seen in a while, ever since Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Payton Manning were still playing in the league.

Allen passed for 203 yards and three TDs. He also rushed for 74 yards, which included a 52-yard rushing touchdown that was the 2nd longest rushing TD by a quarterback in postseason history.

The win was the sixth in a row for the Bills, who have snatched the AFC East crown away from the Miami Dolphins in the final game of the regular season. Buffalo, one of 12 teams who have never won the Super Bowl, advances to the divisional round for the fourth consecutive season.

The Steelers had suffered their fifth consecutive playoff defeat, dating back to the 2016 AFC title game. There will be some questions about the future of head coach Mike Tomlin, who has one year left on his contract. Pittsburgh’s head coach since 2007, Tomlin, is currently the league’s longest-tenured head coach following the departure of Bill Belichick in New England last week.

The Steelers need to make some changes to get back on track. Mike Tomlin has done a fantastic job in Pittsburgh, winning one Super Bowl and having coached one of the best quarterbacks ever to play the game in Ben Roethlisberger. But now, is it time to change as head coach, or do you resign me to a new contract? So many questions that need to be answered.
