On Monday night, The Bruins defeated the Florida Panther 3-2 in overtime at TD Garden.
While in Washington D.C, the Celtics beat the Washington Wizards 126-107 to earn their third straight win to open the season.
The Bruins:
Florida Panthers scored two goals in the 1st period, and Boston had to find a way to get back in the game.
Brad Marchand got the rally going, adding his 5th of the season to cut it to 2-1 in the 2nd period. Then, in the 3rd, Charlie McAvoy scored the tying goal, his 2nd of the season, to make it 2-2.
In Overtime, Pavel Zacha went down the other end of the ice and ripped a shot past the Panthers goaltender to win the game 3-2. He scored his 3rd of the season at 3:36 of the overtime period.
The Celtics:
They dominated the game from start to finish and won it in a blowout.
It was their third straight win to start the season, and they are playing some outstanding basketball.
