Bruins beat Ducks and sweep their west coast trip


On Sunday, The Boston Bruins beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-1. With the win, they beat all three California teams, the Sharks, Kings, and Ducks, to sweep their California road trip.


The Ducks got on the board first in the 3rd Period thanks to a goal by Mason McTavish (2nd) to give his team a 1-0 lead. Then, the Bruins made a comeback. First, the rookie Matthew Poitras scored his first two goals as a member of the Bruins, which gave Boston the lead at 2-1.


Brad Marchand added an empty netter (4th) to give Boston a 3-1 lead, finishing the California road trip with three wins.


Bruins Goaltender Linus Ullmark made 30 saves on 31 shots.


The Bruins are now 5-0-0 so far and look to keep it going heading into their final game on the road trip against the Blackhawks on Tuesday night.
