Bruins top Flyers 6-0 and have now won two straight games


The Boston Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 6-0 at TD Garden on Monday afternoon.


David Pastrnak opened up the scoring in the 1st period when he caused a turnover in the Philadelphia zone and scored his 34th of the season, where he deflected a pass from Zacha into the net for a 1-0 lead. Then, with five minutes left in the 1st period Pavel Zacha put his entire body into a slapshot that makes it 2-0.


Brad Marchand backhanded home a rebound four minutes into the second to give the Bruins a 3-0 lead. Then, a minute later Zacha scores his second of the game off a crossing pass that was deflected in. Pastrnak added his second of the game on the power play to make the score 5-0. Matt Grzelcyk scored his 3rd of the season to make it 6-0.


Goaltender Jeremy Swayman made 29 saves on 29 shots and gets the shutout at home. Their record is now at 34-5-4 and is 1st place in the Atlantic Division and the eastern conference.
