Bruins Top Islanders to extend their win streak to three


The Boston Bruins beat the NY Islanders 4-1 at USB Arena on Wednesday night to extend their win streak.


Zach Parise opened up the scoring for the Islanders in the 1st with his 13th goal of the season to make it 1-0.


Charlie McAvoy scored his 3rd of the season right passed the goaltender off a great pass from Matt Grzelcyk in the offensive zone to tie the game at 1-1. Then, Derek Forbort added his 3rd of the season, poking the puck past the goaltender to make the score 2-1.


In the 3rd, Brad Marchand scored his 15th of the season on the power play off a great pass from David Pastrnak to make it 3-0. Trent Frederic put the game out of reach, adding his 10th of the season off a great pass from Charlie Coyle at the Islanders' end of the ice to make it 4-0.


Linus Ullmark made 25 saves and earned his 100th career win, improving to 24-2-1 on the season. Patrice Bergeron had to leave the game briefly after the puck hit him in the face on a slap shot from Pastrnak in the 3rd period.
