Bruins win big in Brad Marchand’s return to the lineup


Brad Marchand had two goals and an assist in his season debut after undergoing arthroscopic surgery in May to repair the cartilage in his hips.


Goalie Jeremy Swayman made 27 saves, David Pastrnak scored a goal on the power play and had two assists. Charlie Coyle and Craig Smith each scored a goal to help the Bruins improve to a 6-0 record at home (TD Garden) this season.


Bruins extended their winning streak to four games in a row, Beating the Detroit redwings 5-1. Their record is 7-1-0, the best start in Bruins franchise history.
