Bruins wrap up President’s trophy with an overtime win over Columbus


Boston Bruins clinched the President’s trophy with a 2-1 overtime win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night at TD Garden.


The President’s trophy goes to the NHL regular season points leader. Boston broke a tie with the 1970-71 team for the franchise victory mark.


Columbus took a 1-0 lead in the 1st period on a goal by Jack Roslovic. Then, in the 2nd, Tyler Bertuzzi ties the game at 1-1 with his 6th goal of the season on the power-play.


After a scoreless 3rd and heading into overtime, David Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal on an amazing pass from Hampus Lindholm. Pastrnak scored his 53rd goal of the season and is having a career year.
