The Celtics entered Game 5 and beat the Miami Heat 110-97 at TD Garden on Thursday night.
They will return to Miami for a must-win Game 6 on Saturday night.
Derrick White had 24 points, including six 3-pointers. Marcus Smart had 23 points and five steals. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had 21 points each.
The Celtics are halfway to becoming the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 deficit to win a series.
Duncan Robinson led the Heat with 18 points. Bam Adebayo added 16 points and eight rebounds.
