Celtics win their season opener in NY against the Knicks

On Wednesday night, The Celtics went into their season opener in NY against the Knicks, and it was a back-and-forth battle as they beat the Knicks 108-104.

Jayson Tatum had 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his new teammate, Kristaps Porzingis, scored 30 points in his Celtics debut.

I thought it went well for their first game of the new season. I like how Jrue Holiday stepped in and got himself involved in the offense and defense side on both ends of the floor. He did some good things during the game. His passing ability, setting up guys, and playing good defense were outstanding.

I believe that Jrue Holiday can be the number-one point guard and help out the Celtics when they need a big play. Kristaps Porzingis was terrific and had some big plays in the game that I liked seeing.

If I had to make a few changes to the game plan, it would be to get Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard more involved in the offense, play Pritchard a little more, stop making bad decisions, spread the ball more and rebound the ball better on the offensive side of the ball.

Next Game:
