Duvall breaks the tie with a 3-run homer as the Red Sox beat the Tigers 6-3

The Boston Red Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 6-3 at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI, on Thursday Afternoon.

Chris Sale gets his 1st win of the season, going 5IP, 3 R, 4H, 3BB, and 7ks in the game. John Schreiber, Chris Martin, and Ryan Brasier combined to throw three scoreless innings. Kenley Jensen pitched the ninth and got his first save of the season.

Adam Duvall and Rafael Devers led the Red Sox offense. Devers hit a solo home run, his 2nd of the season, and made a one-run game at 3-2. Then Devers doubled to right, scoring Alex Verdugo and tying the game at 3-3.

Adam Duvall broke the tie game with a 3-run home run and gave the Red Sox a 6-3 lead.

Chris Sale is one of my favorite pitchers in the game and was on my list of players to watch out for this season.

Red Sox’s next two games: Saturday, April 8th @ Detroit 4:10 pm on NESN
