Florida Gators Upsets No.11 Tennessee for their 10th straight Victory in the series

On Saturday night, The Florida Gators football team upsets the No.11 Tennessee Volunteers 29-16 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, FL.

Florida Gators QB Graham Mertz, the fourth-year transfer from Wisconsin, played one of the best performances in college football that I haven’t seen in a while. The Last time I saw an outstanding performance against a ranked team was when I saw Lamar Jackson face off against Clemson.

Mertz went 19 of 24, 166 passing yards and a touchdown. He was not sacked and did not turn over the ball the entire game. Gators running back Travis Etienne ran for a career-high 172 yards and a touchdown.

The Victory was the first in the rivalry for Billy Napier, who last year became the first coach in school history to lose to Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, and Florida State in the same season.

The Gators are now 2-1 overall 1-0 in conference play.
